MARINE CULTURE INFOGRAPHIC

As part of an environmental literature class, I was assigned to create a community engagement piece that would share the findings of a research project and spread awareness for the chosen topic. I decided to design an infographic to communicate information on climate change and how it is impacting the marine culture in Maine. I chose graphics and colors that appeal to the audience, people in Maine interested in the fishing industry or the environment. Because this piece is designed to communicate information, I ensured that the most important facts are what grab the reader’s attention first, with the finer details second. The piece is also designed to have a natural flow from top to bottom as the viewer reads.
